Journey of Awakening

The first stage of my awakening was realising, as a young, disillusioned teenager, who found comfort in the songs of Bob Dylan, that there was more to this world than meets the eye...

So, aged 16, I stepped away from the education system, and set forth, across the sea to Europe, with no savings nor bank card; just my voice, guitar and harmonica. Inspired to meet the world and 'seek the truth'.

Here I fostered great reliance upon my intuition, and although I didn't consciously know it, my guidance teams. Attuning to the inner compass when making decisions, like which road to take, which people to join; navigating potential danger, such as hitch hiking or staying in squats. I was irrationally fearless because I carried a felt sense that I was somehow protected... and wholeheartedly trusted in the Universe to provide!

Then there was Performance Art; permission to express the many different aspects of Self, without inhibition; exploring the audience-performer relationship, the space between... All whilst pursuing the need to 'discover the truth'. I delved passionately into hedonism, then academia, then playwriting. All in tandem with parenting; I had my first daughter aged 19. I was ready, I was expecting this little person to join me!

I then grew tired of all that externalising! Left my post as lead singer of a band, and took up the double bass. To sit back. Ground. Go within. A year or so before the birth of my second daughter, aged 31, I took up the call to spiritual adventure. Read lots of channelled material. Pleiadians, Hathors, and Arcturians came into my awareness. I attended a weekly 'lightworker' group. But could not feel energy at this stage, not yet...

Then one week, Amarna Joy Sinclair arrived, with a large copper pyramid. She was said to be a trance channeller for the Ascended Masters. As soon as I saw her, I was transfixed by her captivating blend of authority and innocence- I adored her instantly! So I attended her 'Flower of Life' workshop. She taught us about sacred geometry, and the Higher Self. We were also learning a very complicated meditation to activate our MerKaBa fields.... Then all of a sudden, she went into spontaneous trance channelling, which would change me forever ...

The energy that came through, struck my heart with such intensity that I fell to my knees; overwhelmed with a mixture of spellbinding awe, utmost respect, swathes of overpowering love and joyful familiarity... "My Home!". I remembered and perceived it for the first time in this life: my actual real home, beyond illusion. .. and then this was followed by an acute sense of utter grief; to be in the unnatural predicament of separation. All these feelings on maximum, all at once. "I want to go Home!" I exclaimed over and over. "My Home". Amarna's arms were thrown out wide, then gesturing, her eyes shut as the transmission came through. Me, collapsed by her feet, tears and snot streaming down my face, as with all my being I yearned to merge with THIS being, and return Home. It was an ecstatic awakening despite the pain. "I want to be with you!" I begged. Then through Amarna, this great being of love clasped my face and said tenderly, 'We have been together before and shall be together again'. I then calmed, and began to attune to the fact that, for now, my place was to be in the here and now in the flesh; and became aware that I desperately needed a handkerchief! The transmission came to a close. I looked at the other participants, expecting them to have been touched as deeply as I, but they just looked on in astonished curiosity. (No tears or snot for them!)

Amarna opened her eyes and I asked, "Who WAS that?". She was used to this, and answered casually, "Oh that was Lord Sananda" (I'd never heard of him) "otherwise known as Ascended Master Jesus Christ" (I'd heard of Him!) "Time for tea and biscuits!"

I was changed in that moment. Attuned to the truth of my 'I Am'.

In an exercise later that day, we held hands in a circle with angels; I could tangibly feel the presence of the angel arriving behind me, then feel the angel's hand slipping into mine. An energetic imprint of a hand shape; the hand of the beautiful being was really there!

I could feel energy! During this exercise, my eyes fell to a teaching card depicting the higher Self (pictured here) and as I gazed at it, the angel's hand in mine, I declared with all my heart, "From now on I want my Higher Self to guide my life. I hereby give the reins over to you".

And so it was!

The very next morning I awoke to the sensation of my left hand moving independently to my will. It lifted up and rested just above my sleeping partner's heart chakra. I looked on in astonishment!

If I allowed, and remained present, my Higher Self was able to operate my body via what felt to be a magnetic energy. Thus became the start of my journey to integrate with my Higher Self, and my training as an energy healer; the foundation upon which everything else has been built.

I've had many other spiritual awakenings in the almost 2 decades since this divinely orchestrated incident, but I regard this as the main springboard into remembering 'the truth'. Once you 'feel-remember' it's no longer about belief, faith or concept, it becomes enduringly real, embodied experience.
